Jose Maria Gutierrez Hernandez, better known as Guti, his career was about to continue in the ranks of the German soccer club Schalke from Gelsenkirchen, there were numerous media reports. Guti would be joined his countryman Raul with whom he would fight for the title of German champion.

However, Schalke was quickly denied this information. “There is no truth in it. Guti is a great player but we are not interesting,” – said the club’s sporting director Horst Heldt.

The former Real Madrid and the Spanish national team midfielder has played in the Turkish league in Besiktas, but since November last year he is a free player.

Guti for Besiktas in less than two seasons, played 40 times, while the 11 times he was on the list of scorers. At Real Madrid he spent 15 years and enrolled over 300 appearances.
