About five minutes before the end of the game, the result was 2:1 for visiting Gela, Foggia’s player Bartosz Solomon was lying on the lawn. As a guest of fair play the team kicked the ball outside the field allowing medical services to reach injured player. However, home side, decided to ignore their move and with the rapid execution used the situation to score goal. Gela’s players came running to the umpire, a scorer with the rest of the home team began a celebration that angered so many guests and they started a mass scuffle, because of that the game was stopped for several minutes.
