Basel sporting director George Heitz recently confirmed that both Manchester United and Bayern Munich were keen on signing the highly-rated Shaqiri.
He told reporters that he had some “astonishing offers” for Shaqiri and that “clubs from Germany, Britain and Eastern Europe are asking” about the player.
