Wilshere made a new step backward in the fight with his right ankle injury that took him away from the competitive pace from the start of the season. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes that Wilshere could play again in April, at least in the season finale, but it remains questionable whether the talented English midfielder will play at all this season.

Wilshere should be back to racing pace in February and has already started training, when he felt severe pain on one of them.

“Jack is devastated. I sympathize with him. He wants to be part of big tournaments and play for Arsenal. That’s a big disappointment for us all, but I’m really disappointed for Jack because he is soccer beast” – said Wenger.
